Walkway Over the Hudson: Operated privately through State and local funding, this site is open daily from 7 am to sunset. (5 miles south of the Roosevelt Inn)
Dinsmore Golf Course: Scenic golf course offering views of the Hudson River and the Catskill mountains. 3rd oldest golfcourse in the US. (1890) (6 miles north of the Roosevelt Inn)
Lake Minnewaska State Park:Beautiful mountain/lake/waterfall with hiking trails.Operated by NYS. Open year-round but hours can vary. Call first, (845) 255-0752. (25 miles west of the Roosevelt Inn near New Paltz)
Ferncliff Forest Preserve (Rhinebeck)/Innisfree Gardens (Millbrook)/Poets Walk (Annandale-on-Hudson)--Also open daily and fantastic hiking and trails for you to visit within 20 miles of Roosevelt Inn.
Hudson River Sightseeing Cruises, 2-hour: Open daily. Get a different perspective of history from the riverbanks of the Hudson. Hudson River Cruises/ Kingston, Empire Cruises/ Poughkeepsie.
Rhinebeck Aerodrome: Old WWI byplanes (think Snoopy and the Red Baron). Museum open daily, Air Shows open weekends. Seasonal closure Oct 20, 2013.
